Argestes is seeking a poetry manuscript of 50-75 pages for publication. All entrants will receive a 1 year subscription to Argestes. The Competition reading fee is $25 US.

The winner will receive 50 copies of the chapbook, published by Argestes/ Collen Tree Press as a 6x9 inch perfect-bound book with a four color cover featuring art work suitable to the style and subject matter of the poems.

What to submit:

• There is no restriction as to style or subject matter. 
• The poems should be previously unpublished, or previously published only as individual poems. A manuscript that has already been published as a book, or a substantial part of a book, will not be accepted. 
• All rights to publish all poems should reside with the author.

How to submit your entry:

• Submit poems in hard (paper) copy with an Entry Form attached.  We do not accept electronic submissions.
• Include your $25.00 US reading fee (make checks payable to Collen Tree Press)
• Include 2 SASEs - one for notification that we have received your manuscript and one to notify you of the winner. 
• If you wish to have your manuscript returned if you do not win, please be sure your second SASE has sufficient size and postage and state you wish it returned on your submission.

Deadline:

The deadline for entry is FEB 1, 2009.  The winner will be announced APR 15, 2009.
